facilities
A new facility for Grace
Church's 6,500 members was
designed for a 62-acre setting with
a goal of maximizing views while accommodating
the church's 2,000-car
parking lot. The church includes an
auditorium to seat 4,500 parishioners,
as well as a restaurant-sized kitchen,
dining/visiting area and more. The
Grand Lobby features a bookstore
and reception area, while the education
& administrative areas include
preschool areas, assembly rooms,
gym/recreation room, basketball
court and staff offices.
The façade uses architectural
precast concrete panels in a variety of
textures and finishes. These include
panels with a rough, stone-cut appearance
that were used at the base
and spandrel panels with textures
reveals and bullnoses that provide
additional texture and visual interest.
Limestone-like sills were provided
at stairways, curtain-wall tops and
around windows.
