A key advantage of precast concrete construction is the condensed project schedule. The gaming industry already knows time is money. The Horseshoe Casino Parking Garage is the third total precast concrete garage built for a Council Bluffs casino in recent years. The precaster was brought in early to enable the precast design phase to overlap with design document and site preparation and get a headstart on producing the 808 precast pieces. Erection for the 1,000 car garage began in September and was finished in November. The garage is part of an $85 million expansion at Bluffs Run Casino which will open early next year. The expansion also includes a new 68,000 sf building and will make Horseshoe the largest of the Council Bluffs casinos.
